How to Live and How to Die

From Croydon Buddhist Centre on Wed, 11 Jan, 2017 - 00:00
In this talk Vijayasri continues a short series of talks, on themes arising from Sangharakshita's lecture on World Peace and Nuclear War, by exploring what to do with our lives and how to face death. We look at how suffering arises from clinging to self identity and consider different ways of seeing through this. Vijayasri then moves on to discuss how fear of death affects us and how letting go of this fear gives a huge sense of relief. Amarapuspa leads a reflection on Impermanence and the session closes with verses from Subhuti's refuge puja and the Prajnaparamita mantra. This talk was given at the Croydon Buddhist Centre in December 2016 as part of our regular Saturday morning sangha class.
