On 30 July, we started a new Bal Sanskara Class (Children’s Buddhist Class) at Bharatwada village at Nagpur for New Buddhist Children who don’t have opportunity to learn Buddhism from Childhood.

Our volunteer Dhammamitra Ashvaghosh Raul initiated for this class and continued. We are thankful of our volunteers !

We started our educational session 2017-18 in the first week of July at Hasanbag area for Dalit Muslim poor children to get an opportunity for educational development. In this class most of the girls are getting benefit as they are vulnerable. Parents have certain way of thinking to not to provide education because of being Girls !

As well as helping to organise groups to send metta to everyone in Venezuela, which I believe can make a real difference, you may feel like helping out in other, more practical ways. Sometimes people ask me if they can send food parcels or medicines, but unfortunately that is not possible, parcels would never make it through customs.

However, there are some things which you might be able to do to help…

  • Offer friendship online to people in the Sangha

Dear Order Members,

The dates of the 2018 International Convention have now been confirmed; it will start with dinner on 4th February, and end after breakfast on 11th February 2018. You can now confidently book flights if you wish.

In order to plan the convention, we are looking for an approximate indication of numbers attending, and accommodation wanted.

On Wed 16th of August at 7:30pm Uk time (2.30pm in Venezuela itself) will are going to launch the metta for mérida project with simultaneous meditations in the Mérida Buddhist Centre in Venezuela and the Nottingham Buddhist Centre. Immediately after this meditation there will be twining ceremony for the Nottingham & Mérida centres.

We hope as many other Triratna Buddhist Centres as possible will be able to join us.
