The experience developed within the Buddhist tradition over thousands of years has created an incomparable resource for all those who wish to follow a path — a path which ultimately culminates in Enlightenment or Buddhahood. It also offers various practical tools such as meditation, mindfulness and ethical precepts to help anyone live better and cultivate for themselves a richer, more meaningful life.
This 4 week course is an ideal way to learn meditation through simple, straightforward teaching.
Our courses are for complete newcomers to meditation and for those with a regular practice. We teach two fundamental practices, the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana. These practices focus on developing calmness, integration, positive emotion and insight.
After the course participants are welcome to join our ongoing weekly Tuesday meeting at the same venue.
Cost - all our courses and weekly classes are run on a donation basis. Suggested donation £7 per week.
