Saturday the 28th & Sunday the 29th May
After five years of planning and two years of building work, the new retreat centre is finally opening with a weekend of special events. Both days feature tours of the building and a ritual dedication of the centre. The Public Opening on the 28th will include introductions to meditation and a talk by the architects, while the Sangha Opening on the 29th will focus around an opening ritual led by Subhuti.

We are now a third of the way through the building of our new retreat centre. The elegant steel framework for the shrine room and simple precast concrete portal frames for the communal areas have been installed. Job Opportunities at Vajrasana

By Nandavajra on Mon, 9 Mar, 2015 - 19:24The building project at Vajrasana Retreat Centre is now under way and is due for completion Spring 2016. The expanded centre will require a team of three to live together in the new community accommodation, and run the centre on a day-to-day basis. Abhayavajra is planning to continue living at Vajrasana after the completion of the building, helping set up the community.

At the Triratna Order Convention, Bodh Gaya, 2013, we gathered under the full moon at the Vajrasana - the seat of the Buddha’s Enlightenment itself - and performed Puja in English and Hindi as a united Order, east and west…

NB. There was a microphone/p.a. issue all evening so some of the sound is a bit distorted in parts! But it gives a certain flavour of a very noisy puja in a very noisy but still magic place!
