On 4 May 2015 at Guhyaloka, the Triratna Retreat Centre in the Spanish mountains, 12 men from around the world were ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order. Here are photos of the men with their Public Preceptors - Maitreyabandhu, Satyaraja and Moksananda.

On 25 January 2015 at the Berlin Buddhist Centre in Germany, Achalabandhu was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order by Public Preceptor Padmavajra. 

On April 27 2015, Achalabandhu died in the Benjamin Franklin hospital in Berlin following a long illness.

Death of Vajragita

By Munisha on Sat, 29 Nov, 2014 - 21:54With sadness we report the death from cancer of Dharmacharini Vajragita, who died very peacefully at home in Amsterdam at around 18.00 local time today, in the company of her community. She was 76 years old.

Vajragita was ordained by Sangharakshita in 1981 in Seaford, Sussex, UK. Her yidam was Padmasambhava. A founder member of the sangha in the Netherlands, she lived and worked at Taraloka (UK) for several years. She recently became a Public preceptor.

On 20 September 2014 at the Dharmagiri Retreat Centre in Sweden, Viriyavasin was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order by Public Preceptor Satyaraja. This public Ordination followed the first Ordination Retreat held in Sweden.

On 25 August 2014 on the first day of the Women’s European Convention at Adhisthana Mokshapushpa was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order by Public Preceptor Parami. This was the first Public Ordination to be held at Adhisthana.
