The College of Public Preceptors is delighted to announce the appointment of Nagaketu, from Nagpur, India, as a Public Preceptor.
Nagaketu came in contact with the Sangha in 1988 in Nagpur, and was ordained by Subhuti in 1992. After ordination he established Right Livelihood projects, including a publishing house and bookshop. He became a mitra convenor, and the main coordinator of Mitra convening in India in 2010; in which role he participated in the International Council from it’s conception.
The College of Public Preceptors is delighted to announce the appointment of Amala, from Maine, USA, as a Public Preceptor.
Amala was ordained by Sanghadevi in 2000 and became a private preceptor in 2015.
She has been involved with the Aryaloka Retreat Center since the early 90’s, where she has been chair of the Spiritual Vitality council for the last 7 years and has been on the council since 2010. Currently she is handing on some of her responsibilities as chair.

Vajratara is 43 years old. She encountered the Dharma while still at school, was ordained in 2004, and became a private preceptor in 2016. I’m delighted to say that the College of Public Preceptors has appointed Yashodeva as a Public Preceptor.
Yashodeva was ordained in 1981 and is now 59. He lived at Guhyaloka for 12 years, which is where he began working with men who were training for ordination, and has continued to be involved with GFR retreats in Spain since moving to Adhisthana eight years ago. During the March Area College gathering for the UK, Ireland and Europe, Kamalashila attended for an evening to have a farewell following his retirement from the Preceptors’ College at the end of last year.
