This year at Padmaloka we have hosted two Ordination retreats so far, and in just under two weeks we will be starting a third, where sixteen men will be going forth from their previous identities and lives and stepping into the world of the Dharmachariya and the Triratna Buddhist Order.

I am delighted to announce that the former Andreas Kernebeck was publicly ordained on Sunday 22nd August at the Essen Buddhist Centre.

He becomes Muditamani, which means ‘Jewel of Sympathetic Joy’. The emphasis is on the third syllable.

His private preceptor was Nirmala and I was his public preceptor.
