Dear friends,
I am delighted to announce that she who was Doreen Wilson from the Birmingham Sangha was ordained today, in her flat in Solihull. Doreen’s health has deteriorated rapidly in the last week, so it was decided to ordain her at home in the presence of a few friends in the Order and Mitra Sanghas, as well as most of her immediate family. It was both a joyous and poignant occasion.
Doreen becomes Candradarśanā (“C” pronounced like “ch”, “s” pronounced like “sh”, and a long final “a”), a Sanskrit name meaning “She whose vision is luminous like the moon”.
Registered spelling: Chandradarshana.
Santavajri was both the private and public preceptor.
With Metta,
Santavajri
