Viriyalila in conversation with the wonderful Saddhajoti, whose vision of a Buddhist retreat centre rising out of barren sugar cane plantation land has been fully realized here at Chintamani, near Cuernavaca in Mexico.

It’s a truly extraordinary achievement, and the great beauty and elegance of the place has been hugely enjoyed by all lucky enough to be attending the Triratna Buddhist Order’s 2015 Pan-American Convention.

Jnanadakini from Mexico joins us as our last Buddhist voice from the 2014 Triratna International Council. As the great assembly draws to a close she reflects with us on a strong week and the challenges in taking its inspiration back to a more isolated part of our community. Having moved from some scepticism about the value of the meeting to out and out enthusiasm, Jnanadakini is a great advocate of the spiritual practice involved in international gatherings!
