We are delighted to announce that following the Public Ordination ceremony today at Guhyaloka Retreat Centre in Spain we have 15 new Order members.

Here are their new names:


Public Preceptor Moksananda

Ricardo Rico becomes Acalamati, a Sanskrit name meaning “He who has an unwavering mind”.
Westernised spelling: Achalamati.
Private Preceptor: Nagapriya.

Bruno Mendosa Valdés becomes Ruciramati, a Sanskrit name meaning “He who has a brilliant and radiant mind”.
Westernised spelling: Ruchiramati.
Private Preceptor: Nagapriya.

We are pleased to announce the recent ordination celebrated at Adhisthana on Thursday 28th February 2019. Helen Rey from the Seattle Sangha becomes Prasadadhi (long second ‘a’ and long ‘i’), a Sanskrit name meaning ‘She whose Wisdom is clear, bright, pure.’ Punyamala was both Private and Public Preceptor. 🎉

We are delighted to announce that on Tuesday March 28th at 2.30pm Jyotipala was publicly ordained at Padmaloka Retreat Centre, UK.

Jyotipala means ‘He who protects the light’.

His public ordination was performed by Padmavajra.

This ordination marks Jyotipala’s re-entry into the Order. Jyotipala was the first person to be ordained at Padmaloka in 1976 - with Sangharakshita as private preceptor. Sometime in the mid to late nineties, Jyotipala resigned from the Order. Unusually, he was not privately ordained...
