POEM BY SANGHARAKSHITA

POEM BY SANGHARAKSHITA

By Suryaprabha on Tue, 3 Dec, 2013 - 21:37THOUGH THIS poem has been taken out of context, the ending of Time of Fire, I find it apt to reflect on the inferred death of Sangharakshita (long may it be postponed). As the film, part three of my history of Triratna, has several themes of conflict, I wanted to end on some sober reflection, and the author was kind enough to read his poem (or part of).

Death: your Hallowe'en treat!

By Munisha on Thu, 31 Oct, 2013 - 00:37To mark Hallowe’en, Siddhisambhava writes from north Wales about her workshops and retreats on facing death. (Some readers may need to know that Hallowe’en is a festival concerned with ghosts, witches, death and other things we’d rather not think about. Children often mark it by “trick or treating”: going house to house playfully demanding sweets in return for not playing tricks on the owners. Pumpkin lanterns are traditional too.)

"Death is Certain" [Dharmabytes Podcast #287]

By viriyalila on Thu, 17 Oct, 2013 - 14:07
Today’s FBA Dharmabyte, “Death is Certain,” is an excerpt from the talk “The Transitoriness of Life and the Certainty of Death” by Vajradarshini. Here she talks about disassociating from our own death and how our death really is not that significant. In imagining this, knowing this, there is freedom. The third talk in a five-part series from Tiratanaloka’s retreat on the ‘Four Mind Turnings’ of the Tibetan tradition.
