Dear Order Members

I am sad to let you know of the death of our friend and Dharma sister Aryashila who was suffering from cancer. She was taken into hospital on Friday after falling at home.

Her condition then deteriorated rapidly and she died at around 4.30am this morning. As often happens she was alone at the time of dying. Aryashila long outlived her original prognosis of a year for her cancer - which was over...

Dear Order members
 
It is sad to inform you that Dhammachari Asanganetra (Mumbai) passed away today morning around 4.30 am at Mumbai.

He was 76 year old and ordained on January 7th 2001 at Bhaja.
Chandrashil was his private preceptor and Dhammachari Sudarshan conducted his public ordination ceremony.
He was admitted in hospital on April 25th.

It is very sad that because of the lock-down situation in Mumbai nobody from the...

Dear Order Members,

Aryashila is being cared for in South Tyneside Hospital, South Shields due to the worsening of her cancer symptoms.

She was diagnosed with cancer over three years ago, having made a full recovery from a previous bout some years back.

During these three years she has made a vibrant contribution
to the Newcastle Sangha, having moved from Croydon to be her elderly mother’s carer a few weeks before her diagnosis.
