We’ve just heard of a free online Safeguarding training event specially for faith groups offered by SCIE, 10-11.20am GMT on Wednesday 23rd June.

SCIE are the Social Care Institute for Excellence, who have conducted Safeguarding audits for the major Churches in the UK.

This would suit Safeguarding officers, trustees and anyone else who wants to understand more about Safeguarding.

The Melbourne Buddhist Centre is seeking an Order Member or experienced Mitra to take over from Dantacitta in the role of Centre Manager.

This is a part time, paid position from 20 to 35 hours per week (negotiable).

Your main responsibilities would include:

  • Promoting, programming and maintaining current MBC activities
  • Managing people (the office team and volunteers)
  • Financial and administrative duties
  • Overseeing and assisting with the maintenance and presentation of the building
