In 1980 Amritabodhi started attending the general Dhamma class held in the flat of Karunadipa’s father at Geeta Housing Society, located near Nehru Memorial Hall in Pune Camp area. He was a Central Government employee working at the Office of Central Water and Power Research Centre, Khadakwasla.
