Growth Fund 2015 now open for applications

From Triratna News on Wed, 28 Jan, 2015 - 15:05Every year Triratna’s European Chairs’ Assembly (ECA) invites applications to its Growth Fund, for projects encouraging/enabling more people to learn basic meditation and Dharma with Triratna. The closing date is 30th April 2015.

Nandavajra writes from the ECA’s Development Team, “This year we have around £7000 available to be given out in sums of up to £1000 each to Triratna projects around the world (excluding India, for which Karuna have a separate fund.)

From Triratna News on Wed, 28 Jan, 2015 - 14:34Colchester Chair Amalaketu writes: “I am delighted to announce that our sangha have now purchased a building in the very heart of the town, which will become the new Colchester Buddhist Centre.

After saving for over 15 years we managed to buy the building from Colchester Borough Council, for the grand sum of GBP127,995. It has a long history and needs a lot of work. Most recently it was a doctor’s surgery; the treatment rooms and reception areas...

Hattie Johnson, of the Adhisthana team, writes: “About 80 people gathered to mark the opening of the Sangharakshita Library. Vajragupta welcomed us all and rejoiced in the many people who have brought the Library into being, particularly Ratnadharini, Ajjavin and Yashodeva.
