Our Bristol Rains Retreat 2019 had a rich first day with about 40 Order Members and Mitras taking part through the day.  Vajradevi gave us a great overview of mindfulness and awareness and skilfully wove what she’s learned of the practice in Burma with Bhante Sangharakshita’s teachings on the five spiritual faculties (drawing on the Essential Sangharakshita, What is the Dharma? and A Survey of Buddhism.)

Here in Paris, spring has arrived and we are preparing for a move into a new Buddhist Centre.

We have found a lovely light spacious place in a peaceful part of Paris, around the corner from a beautiful park. In six weeks, the purchase will be complete and building work will start to transform it from a doctors’ surgery into a Buddhist Centre, which we hope to open in September.

Ici à Paris, le printemps est arrivé et nous nous préparons à nous installer dans un nouveau Centre bouddhiste.

Nous avons trouvé un beau local lumineux et spacieux dans un quartier calme et à deux pas d’un joli parc. Dans six semaines, nous aurons les clefs et les travaux commenceront pour transformer un cabinet médical en Centre bouddhiste. Nous espérons pouvoir l’ouvrir en septembre.

Nous avons réussi à lever assez d’argent pour couvrir l’achat et une grande partie des travaux, mais pour être sûr...
