UK and Ireland Order weekend: "A rich and many splendored thing"

Three hundred and fifty or so members of the Triratna Buddhist Order have been meeting at Adhisthana, UK. This summer’s UK and Ireland Order weekend included women and men from countries including Sweden, France, Spain, India, Belgium, Mexico and Venezuela, supported by an international mitra team.

The weekend had three emphases:
1. Extending outwards
2. Going deeper
3. Learning from the past

Wanted: English teacher for young Triratna Buddhists in India

By Munisha on Mon, 22 Sep, 2014 - 18:05We are looking for someone to teach English as a Second Language (TESL) to young Indians from poor families, including a community of 10 young men, who are training in computer skills at the Aryaloka Computer Institute to prepare them for employment. This will help to lift them and their families out of poverty, and overcome the crippling disadvantages of caste. English is essential to success.
