Padmasambhava mantra for Bhante in Mexico City Buddhist Centre

By dayaketu on Thu, 1 Nov, 2018 - 20:00

This was how we started our puja on tuesday evening, with a walking meditation chanting Padmasambhava mantra for Bhante. Then Upekshamati recited the sevenfold puja for Bhante that Maitreyabandhu wrote. Then we chanted other mantras that Bhante requested.

Sangharakshita's Life and Impact

By sanghadhara on Wed, 31 Oct, 2018 - 14:10

A video I made yesterday. I aimed to summaries bhante’s life and his impact in 1 min. I failed, I did 2 mins, and I still failed. No time in space, no word or images can make justice to his life. Unmeasurable is the impact. I’m for ever grateful! I still cannot believe you’re gone.

Dear sangha,

Here is a video of Bhante’s images that we’ve put together at clear vision as an offering for this time.

You may want to project it at your centre or group, or just watch it at home while chanting some mantras, doing puja or however you’ll mark our teachers death.

Metta to you all, it is hard to know what to say.

The Middle Way Society is an international group for the study, promotion and practice of the Middle Way.  In June, Robert M. Ellis, a member of the Society, interviewed Sangharakshita about the Middle Way for their podcast.  The conversation covered much ground: starting with an exploration of the Middle Way in the context of the Buddha’s life, it moves into the areas of right effort, eternalism and nihilism, rebirth, livelihood and more.

The Middle Way ultimately is a matter of practice. One

Often one of the first things one learns when one comes into contact with Buddhism - and sometimes even before that - is meditation. However, it is not always clear exactly what meditation is, or easy to articulate it! In the last 5 years of The Buddhist Centre Online there have...
