On Sunday 4th November, BBC national radio marked Sangharakshita’s passing with an interview with Vishvapani on Radio Four’s weekly religious news programme, ‘Sunday’.

This coming Friday, Vishvapani will discuss Bhante’s life and work on BBC Radio Four’s obituary programme, ‘Last Word’.

on Thursday 1st of November, Sangharakshita’s body was welcomed back at Adhisthana by the community and guests. Saddhanandi addressed those present before processing behind the body towards the Amitabha shrine room where was being prepared for viewing while a ritual took place at the main shrine room.

Last night we had a special night for Bhante. 40 of us were present for the night, which started with Jnanadhara rejoicing in Bhante and the influence Bhante has had on his life and Triratna. We then chanted 108 Shakyamuni mantras for Bhante, and had a special puja for Bhante.

Much appreciation was expressed for Bhante and all that he has done for us. A book of condolences has also been opened here...

A video I made yesterday. I aimed to summaries bhante’s life and his impact in 1 min. I failed, I did 2 mins, and I still failed. No time in space, no word or images can make justice to his life. Unmeasurable is the impact. I’m for ever grateful! I still cannot believe you’re gone.
