Young Buddhists go offline for bigfuturebuddhanow

By Munisha on Tue, 23 Dec, 2014 - 14:10Triratna Young Buddhists go from strength to strength with over 20 groups worldwide, as well as India’s National Network of Buddhist Youth. Next year sees the start of events for those “Sub25”. European Triratna’s seventh annual Young Buddhist retreat – over six times the size of the first – took place in November, entitled “bigfuturebuddhanow”.

Have a look at this list of groups in Belgium, Germany, Sweden and the UK.

Now they’re considering how to address the needs of teenagers.

Ioana Ciontea of Gent, Belgium had her public ordination on the afternoon of 4th May at Metta Vihara retreat centre in the Netherlands. She becomes Dharmamani (long last “i”), “Jewel of the Dharma”.

Her public preceptor was Vajragita and her private preceptor was Sobhanandi.
