The Time is Now have written to Triratna, via the Network of Buddhist Organisations UK:

“On 26th June, The Time is Now mass lobby of UK Parliament is taking place, and many faith organisations, faith communities and faith leaders, are taking part.

Workshops, an interfaith Walk of Witness, and interfaith Speaker Event are all taking place ahead of the mass lobby itself.

The UK’s national and local elections in May this year produced two new Buddhist politicians, both Triratna mitras: a Conservative member of parliament at Westminster and Oscar Gillespie, a local councillor for the Green Party in Cambridge. Eco-Sattva training rescheduled for September-November 2015

The “Eco-Sattva” online training mentioned in a previous post has been moved to 13th September - 15th November this year. Triratna’s Guhyapati is one of several teachers from different Buddhist traditions.

The organisers write: “We received a lot of feedback that the summer wasn’t great, that folks wanted more time to plan and gather their sanghas and we might be able to get in a few more great teachers.

Registered participants have been notified and most are choosing to just transfer their slot to the autumn....

Throughout June, a great many activities took place, in Brighton, Colchester, Essen, Exeter, Leeds, London, Manchester and Stockholm, to name just a few places.

Originally conceived of by the Network of Buddhist Organisations UK as a nationwide day of British pan-Buddhist social action in 2012, Buddhist Action Month grew to a month in 2013...
