By jvalamalini on Wed, 8 Aug, 2012 - 23:24Vessantara talks at the Bristol Buddhist Centre about engaging with the concept of conditionality - part 2

Sangha works! Help repaint the shop

By jvalamalini on Tue, 7 Aug, 2012 - 00:10If you’d like to give some time to help the Centre, we need volunteers this Wednesday and Thursday to help with the shop redecoration project. The floor is looking lovely, many thanks to Martin & Kumuda; now we’d like the walls refreshed. It can be fun to work together, and satisfying to feel you’ve made a difference. We have 2 hour sessions from 10.30 and 2.00 each day - let us know if you could help.

You know the sort of thing: repairing the garden fence, clearing out the loft, re-decorating the kitchen, clearing the...

Manjusvara - Three Poems And A Funeral

By lokabandhu on Wed, 3 Aug, 2011 - 06:34July 6th saw Triratna’s Bristol sangha celebrating the funeral of Manjusvara, who died leading a retreat at Dhanakosa. Kamalamani has sent us an account of the day, and we’ve discovered three poems by Manjusvara in the latest edition of the Bristol Buddhist Centre’s on-line newsletter, which we reproduce below. Bristol’s Newsletter contains a moving ‘Rejoicing In Manjusvara’ by Ananda, his friend and colleague for many many years, during which he describes his friend as “the most generous person I ever...
