Colchester Buddhist Centre is the hub of a thriving, friendly community that now has a fantastic new building in the heart of the town centre, with more classes, events and an ever-growing Sangha. 

The current Chair, Amalaketu, is stepping down next year after 8 years, and is looking to hand onto a suitable candidate. At this stage they are looking for expressions of interest, by 31st December 2018. Amalaketu has been involved in sustainability for 20 years, and has worked as a low carbon engineering consultant delivering sustainable buildings. He has been instrumental in developing a scheme to help Triratna Buddhist Centres become more sustainable, through green energy, recycling and fairtrade. He is also the chair of the Colchester Buddhist Centre
