Friendship then and now

From San Francisco Buddhist Center on Mon, 19 Aug, 2013 - 15:54Acarasiddhi will lead this evening with tales of friendship from the Buddha’s time, leading us nicely into two informal ceremonies celebrating friendship as practice in our tradition today.

Mitra is Sanskrit for friend. Our first ceremony will mark the handover of the role of Men’s Mitra Convenor from Shantinayaka to Prasadachitta. Next Prasadachitta will lead a Mitra Ceremony celebrating a personal commitment to practicing with friends in this community. Hope you can join us. 7-9 PM, Wednesday August 21.
