The journey towards the ultimate

From Adhisthana on Sun, 12 May, 2024 - 12:10

Only the walker who sets out toward ultimate things is a pilgrim. The pilgrim resolves that the one who returns will not be the same person as the one who set out. - Andrew Schelling

Pilgrims week is back, with the same epic ambitions. A continuous 108 hours of circumambulation,...

Unfortunately, I have a new plan for the summer

From Online Meditators on Sat, 4 May, 2024 - 11:59

I’m writing to everyone interested in the new weekly series of Anapanasati and Brahmaviharas practice sessions. Many of you won’t have heard about what’s happened, so I’m sorry, this will be a shock, please pause and take a breath. From College of Public Preceptors on Wed, 1 May, 2024 - 09:00

This month’s letter comes from Purna, who was ordained in 1975 during the course of Sangharakshita’s first visit to New Zealand after having first connected with him through reading A Survey of Buddhism. He has had a long and varied Order life, living for periods in the UK and India, supporting the setting up of the Movement. He now lives on an island of the coast of Auckland, called Waiheke, along with his partner Malini; and is a part of the team responsible for the men’s ordination...
