Why I Keep Meditating

From Coogee Buddhist Group on Mon, 7 May, 2018 - 04:06

Meditating isn’t exciting. It sometimes feels like hard work, especially as winter approaches and mornings can be cold and bed is so yummy! And yet I’m very committed to it and would hate to be without it. Why?

For me meditation gives me the best chance of finding positive, life giving responses to …. well …. everything. It helps me sort myself out in a very basic, fundamental way. And you’ll probably agree that life regularly throws up...

5 Years Of The Buddhist Centre Online: #4 The Triratna Buddhist Order

From Buddhist Centre Features on Thu, 26 Apr, 2018 - 17:35

If the Order is spiritually united, if it is in harmony, then a truly wonderful thing will happen. The Order then will be the locus for the manifestation of the Bodhicitta…I need hardly say how much the world needs the Dharma, needs such an Order, such a movement as ours. I have done what I can. I have started the movement. The future of the Order, of the movement is in your hands.

Searching for the Sublime

From Western Buddhist Review on Sun, 22 Apr, 2018 - 19:46

Here is a review by Ben Atmer of Vajragupta’s new book from Windhorse Publications:

From Community Highlights on Wed, 18 Apr, 2018 - 23:27

50 Years, 50 Voices is our beautiful new online project to document 50 years of people’s commitment and practice within the Triratna Buddhist Order around the world.

Here he is talking delightfully about his first meeting with Sangharakshita and his own quest for an exotic, magical way...
