How do we respond to our own suffering and the cries of the world from a place of love? How do we creatively work to transform our anger and rage into energy in pursuit of the good? These questions are crucial for anyone following a spiritual path and for Buddhists everywhere.

For those of us on the receiving end of racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia and other forms of ignorance and hatred in society, these questions are more than simply philosophical; they resonate deeply in and through our lived experience in the world. They are central to our dharma practice and central to our lives.

Join the us for an evening of meditation and dialogue with Lama Rod Owens, exploring the themes and practices in his latest book Love and Rage: The Path of Liberation through Anger.

Lama Rod will lead us in a practice of Tonglen followed by a conversation with Bodhilila about how to speak our truth within our spiritual communities and beyond in order to bring about greater understanding and a more effective collective response to the cries of the world.

Lama Rod Owens featured on The Buddhist Centre Online Podcast back in 2019, you can catch up with that episode here.
