During the March Area College gathering for the UK, Ireland and Europe, Kamalashila attended for an evening to have a farewell following his retirement from the Preceptors’ College at the end of last year. These reflections are obviously not comprehensive, but more like threads for future discussion. They were prompted by an article that Rijumati wrote about the importance of introducing spiritual death practices earlier in our training.

1. We need to look at how to introduce spiritual death and rebirth practices from the beginning and at all levels.

Ordination in Sweden

By Munisha on Mon, 22 Sep, 2014 - 17:10Fredrik Broman was publicly ordained at Dharmagiri Retreat Centre, north of Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday 20th September at 12.00 local time.

He becomes Viriyavasin, a Pali name meaning ‘He who has mastery of his energy’.

His private preceptor was Bodhiketu; his public preceptor was Satyaraja.

This is the first Triratna ordination retreat to be conducted in Sweden.
