We are happy to announce that the Public Ordination of the following people was held on 18th March 2023 at Hsuan Tsang Retreat Centre, Bordharan, in Wardha, Maharashtra, India.

Motilal Raut becomes Bodhimaṇi (registered spelling Bodhimani) meaning ‘Jewel of Awakening’

We are delighted to announce that Angela Riley from Melbourne, Australia was publicly ordained at the Melbourne Buddhist Centre on Sunday 12th March, 2023. 

She becomes Pasannā. 

The a has the short vowel sound as in ‘cut’. The ā as in ‘father’. Emphasis on the second syllable.

Name meaning: She who is happy, bright, clear, virtuous and devoted.
