14 - 18th September 2022 | Blackdown Hills, Somerset

Our more intimate gathering, at the turning of the summer season, delving into community, nature based practice, land-based skills, crafts, and creative ways to forge social and ecological resilience.

We are an off-grid, drug and alcohol free, temporary camping community of up to 500 people, with workshops, talks, movement, meditation and celebration.

Morning meditation beside Lynn Creek. My awareness became absorbed by the environment: the sounds and smells, the hardness of granite, colours, stillness amidst noise. I took a video. A haiku emerged.

June is the best time to be alive in the northern hemisphere. The optimism of spring is reaching a crescendo, the daylight continue stretching a bit longer with every day. As well, the creative life force that is so unique to this planet is perceptible in the smallest details. As a botanist, I relish the gradual witnessing of plants breaking dormancy, and progressing from green shoots to flowering and onwards to berries once pollinated.
