Deadline for submissions to the Book of Gratitude

The deadline for submissions is Friday 30th November, so if you haven’t already, please do share your feelings of gratitude for the life of Urgyen Sangharakshita. To remind you, here are the criteria and means of submission:

Because the book will be professionally bound we ask you to follow these following simple instructions. The page will need to be:

A4
Landscape (wider than it is tall)
Plain paper
Left hand margin of 25mm to allow for binding
Right hand margin 20mm for balance

Send a paper copy
Send your handwritten or printed copy to:

Here in Thames, Aotearoa NZ, our sangha awoke to the sad news of Urgyen Sangharakshita’s death on Wednesday morning. Since then we have been gathering both formally and spontaneously to honour Bhante and support each other in this significant and special time.

Here’s a request from the team co-ordinating Bhante’s funeral arrangements at Adhisthana: If anyone has (or would be able to bring) a mini bus on the day of the funeral (Saturday 10th November) to help with bringing people from the nearby train stations to Adhisthana, please get in touch by email admin [at] adhisthana.org. If you would like to express your gratitude for Bhante Urgyen Sangharakshita’s life you could give to a project which we know was very dear to Bhante’s heart and currently faces a funding crisis: the editing and publication of his Complete Works.

Bhante Sangharakshita’s wish was to see “a complete, uniform edition” of all his writings, published and unpublished.
