The Preceptors’ College Chair Handover

By Amaradaya on Wed, 15 Jan, 2020 - 13:19

The annual international meeting of the Preceptors’ College took place from the 4th to the 14th November, 2019. It was Saddhaloka’s final meeting as Chair after almost five years of service, and half-way through the meeting he handed over to Ratnadharini, the incoming Chair, marking the transition with a ritual and rejoicings. Here we capture the handover ceremony and extracts from interviews with Saddhaloka and Ratnadharini.

College of Public Preceptors – ‘At Home for Visitors’

By jyotika on Thu, 21 Mar, 2019 - 16:16

Is there anything you would really like to talk through with a Public Preceptor? As an experiment, Saddhaloka and Ratnadharini have posted dates below when they will each be available at Adhisthana to meet with people, individually or small groups, who would like an opportunity to talk with them in person. There is a lot of information online these days, but we also really appreciate being able to meet people directly.

You might like to ask us about the College itself, or...

Triratna International Council - Day 3: On Self and Other and the Structures that Allow Friendship to Flow

By Centre Team on Sun, 18 Feb, 2018 - 16:06

On Day 3 of the 2018 International Council our guests review some great Dharma study and work that dives deeper into the whole area of transformative models of love and friendship. How do we practice to undermine our inherent tendencies to selfishness? And what can we set up so all our institutions serve the needs of the community and allow a genuine and enduring culture of friendship to flourish?

Join Dassini to talk it all through with Khemadhamma and Ratnajyoti from Australia, and...

Letter from the Chair of the College of Public Preceptors to all Order Members

By saddhaloka on Fri, 31 Mar, 2017 - 23:56

Following the March meeting of the College of Public Preceptors, Saddhaloka, as Chair of the College, sent a message to all Order members. The ten-day meeting had been concerned with issues currently being raised regarding the Triratna Buddhist Order and Community, and Saddhaloka wanted to communicate the position of the College on these issues. We are now posting the letter, slightly adapted for a wider readership, on the Adhisthana Kula blog, to make it available to all who are interested. The Kula will be continuing...

Parami, Lokeshvara and Saddhaloka In Conversation

By parami on Sat, 18 Mar, 2017 - 15:08

A new podcast from some members of the Adhisthana Kula as they come to the end of a 10-day meeting of the College.

A great little summary of some of the more general issues discussed, including those arising from historical controversies in Triratna (formerly the FWBO). We get a little taster of other conversations to come - with news of new media, and of prospective reconciliation possibilities within the wider community.

What emerges is a picture of the College at a...
