Actions Have Co2nsequences: Meditation at the Dáil

On 12th June, as part of Buddhist Action Month 2019, a group from the Dublin Buddhist Centre Sangha meditated outside the Dáil (the Irish parliament) to raise awareness about the need for our leaders to take action to address the climate crisis.

Buddhist Action Month 2019 kicked off this week! Buddhist Action Month, or BAM, is an annual festival of Buddhist social action, an opportunity to explicitly bring Metta - or loving-kindness - off the cushion into the world around us. As in previous years, a number of Sanghas across Triratna are participating in this year’s BAM. Here’s a quick look at what some have in store.

This June is Buddhist Action Month and the theme for 2019 is “Climate Action – Personal Action”. The NLBC we be taking part and we are inviting you to take your dharma and meditation practice off the cushion into action!
