Unfolding Sadhana

By Maitriyogini on Mon, 28 Jun, 2021 - 23:42

Over the last few weeks, Adhisthana has been ringing with conversations on Sadhana.

Ksantikara has been recording a series of conversations with six fellow order members, talking to each of them about their Yiddam and Sadhana practice. Every time he returned to the office after having had one of these conversations, he would be almost bouncing, his eyes sparkling.

He kept saying how good these conversations were, how much he enjoyed them, and that he was really looking forward to sharing the recordings with the order.

I interviewed Lokeshvara the...

Dharmabyte: Views Reveal Themselves

By Sadayasihi on Mon, 7 Jun, 2021 - 06:00

Intelligent and thought provoking, Candraprabha shares personally about three views, or three attitudes, she’s uncovered in the course of her many years of spiritual practice. A helpful exemplification of how we can investigate our underlying attitudes in relation to our ability to live a Dharma life.

From the talk entitled Bodhicitta: a Personal Talk from the Moon of the Mind: Bodhicitta Great Gathering, an (online) retreat for women training for ordination...

By ratnadharini on Wed, 31 Mar, 2021 - 15:23

(The Kula system is intentionally flexible, to allow for the different number of people training for ordination in different parts of the world, as well as the geographic spread of Public Preceptors in each Kula.)

Apart from the option...

Dharmabyte: Ethics in their Ultimate Sense

By Sadayasihi on Thu, 22 Oct, 2020 - 06:05

Seeing all beings with the potential for Buddhahood, we are moved to encourage and support that natural momentum towards growth and development. Every act of generosity, loving kindness, no matter how small, is acting in harmony with Reality and the growth of all beings. Vajratara gives us an inspiring glimpse into ethics in their ultimate sense which take their expression in the Bodhicitta.

From a talk entitled The Lady of Tibet Yeshe Tsogyal given by Vajratara at Sangha...

Chairs' Letter – September 2020

Dear Order members

Two days ago I attended the public ordination of 16 women at Adhisthana. When Bhante chose the ‘miracle’ design of the stupa for Dhardo Rimpoche at Tiratanaloka, he said it was because the greatest miracle was Going for Refuge; it seemed especially miraculous to be having public ordinations, given the Covid 19 restrictions, with around 500 people joining the live zoom. I was on the balcony, above the flags and aware of the blessings of blue...
