Abhayaratna Trust seeks Director

Founded in 2008, the Abhayaratna Trust supports Order members around the world who are experiencing financial hardship. Over nine years we have been helping an increasing number to maintain their Dharma practice and sangha connections, as well as assisting with urgent living costs. We expect this number to continue to grow in the coming years.

Fundraising Officer for Abhayaratna Trust - Job Opportunity

Triratna Order Members who are experiencing financial hardship can turn to the Abhayaratna Trust for support. We make grants and offer non-financial support too in urgent health and housing situations. We also want to build a substantial fund for the future needs of the Order, including support for those who have dedicated their working lives to teaching the Dharma and building our Sangha and have been unable to save for later in life or...

Chanting Challenge, Wills Cafe, and get involved!

By The Abhayaratna... on Fri, 24 Jun, 2016 - 11:00

I have recently come on board at the Abhayaratna Trust in the role of Supporter Care and Publicity, working alongside Taradakini in a small but lively team of two based in Scotland. I feel grateful to have this opportunity - a job that allows me to give something back to the Triratna community, and to the Order that sustains the Dharma and Sangha on which I thrive.

Taradakini and I have been having a lot of fun over the past two weeks...

A Conversation with Sangharakshita on Death and Grief

By Candradasa on Tue, 10 Sep, 2013 - 18:25The Abhayaratna Trust provides support for elderly members of the Triratna Buddhist Order who don’t have the resources to fully support themselves.

Ratnachuda writes: I have produced this booklet in gratitude to Sangharakshita who kindly agreed to give me an interview in April 2007, when I was engaged in research for a doctorate with the thesis of ‘grief and bereavement from a Buddhist perspective.’

Urgyen Sangharakshita on Death and Grief

By Candradasa on Tue, 10 Sep, 2013 - 17:38Over on the Abhayaratna Trust’s website there’s a little-known but fascinating conversation extract from 2007 between Sangharakshita ( the founder of the Triratna Buddhist Community) and Ratnachuda talking about the death of Sangharakshita’s mother and sister. It’s part of a longer, in-depth discussion of death and grief generally, and we wanted to draw your attention to that as well as to the excellent work Abhayaratna Trust does on behalf of members of the Order...
