Gift Aid: I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
Gift Aid: Giving extra via Gift Aid is for residents of the UK only or those who pay tax in the UK.

Thank you Lokabandhu and others who have set this up. I burst into tears when I realised this was happening. It has been such a long journey for climate awareness and sustainbility issues in our Sangha just to get to this point.
Needless to say, count me in. I happen to be in the middle of trying to get a new solar PV set-up for Sudarshanaloka anyway (it needs replacing) and will take up BAM and Beyond with the other Sudarshanaloka Board members. I’ll also raise it here in Melbourne at the MBC. We are in the middle of looking for a new Centre, and have to move out of our current premises in mid-May whether we have somewhere to move to or not. I think we’ll be able to more into somewhere fairly soon, but June may end up being a month where we have no Centre. So, I am not sure what BAM will look like here!
In the meantime, here is a useful resource: http://www.cbsm.com/public/images/FosteringSustainableBehavior.pdf
I have spent many years working in sustainability and some of that time has been on the thorny question of what gets people to change their behaviour. The link above is to a PDF version of a well-known book on the subject of behaviour change. We often assume that simply informing people will lead to changes in behaviour. There is ample evidence that this alone doesn’t work. The book looks into what does work.
With metta to all,
