We are delighted to announce that Angela Riley from Melbourne, Australia was publicly ordained at the Melbourne Buddhist Centre on Sunday 12th March, 2023. 

She becomes Pasannā. 

The a has the short vowel sound as in ‘cut’. The ā as in ‘father’. Emphasis on the second syllable.

Name meaning: She who is happy, bright, clear, virtuous and devoted.
