I’m very happy to let you know that ten public ordinations took place at Taraloka on the afternoon of Sunday 23rd May. This culminates the UK spring ordination retreats led by Subhadramati, Vajratara, Hridayagita and Danayutta from Taraloka over the last five weeks. The new order members did the retreat with their private preceptors at various locations in the UK with a full online retreat programme from Taraloka. Ordination at the Manchester Buddhist Centre

We are delighted to announce a Public Ordination that took place at the Manchester Buddhist Centre on 23rd May 2021. The ceremony was conducted in the Lotus Hall with a restricted number of sangha and family members attending.

The new Dharmachari was privately ordained on a private retreat with his preceptor Aparājita, and the Public Preceptor was Padmavajra:

I am Tarahridaya and I was ordained on 23rd January 2005. I live in Pune (Maharashtra) India, with my two children. My son is 24 and my daughter is 21. My son is doing a job and my daughter has recently finished her graduation. My husband is also an order member, call Abhayaraja, we married 28 years ago. We both are working for the Triratna Buddhist movement. At present I am working in the women’s ordination process training team.
