Karunavajra was born and brought up in Solihull. He went along to the Manchester Buddhist Centre when he went away to university. Since then he gradually deepened his interest in meditation and Buddhism joining the Tiratna Buddhist Order in 1995. He has now been teaching meditation and Buddhism for nearly 20 years.
