From Triratna@50 on Thu, 12 May, 2022 - 17:08

It was the era of drawing boards and T squares and the time of transition from Imperial to Metric. It was also the year when decimalisation began to be introduced. This was my second and half-hearted attempt to establish a career having previously discharged...

Contemplating the Refuge Tree

From Tiratanaloka on Wed, 11 May, 2022 - 23:53

We recently ran a retreat with Buddhafield exploring the symbolism of the ‘Going for Refuge and Prostration Practice’.  I say we… it was meant to be Vajratara and Karunadhi from Tiratanaloka, but Karunadhi couldn’t come so it ended up being just Vajratara from Tiratanaloka, with Darsavini, Amaragita, Dayajoti and Viryanaya.  Everyday we had a short presentation on different aspects of the practice followed by questions and answers.  The talks were recorded and although the sound quality isn’t great, people thought...

Ratnachuda's Health

From Order Connection on Wed, 11 May, 2022 - 11:43

Dear Friends,

Ratnachuda was taken to Kings Cross hospital on Sunday 9th, after he fractured his femur just above the right knee. It was pretty bizarre. He hadn’t even fallen. He was practicing going up the steps to his flat and his leg suddenly gave way and twisted under him.

He was supposed to have an operation Monday to repair the femur, however
there was a change of plan in the morning. Consultants decided to do a replacement...
