Why do a Karuna phone campaign?

From Triratna News on Thu, 9 May, 2013 - 09:23Karuna are recruiting volunteer fundraisers for a phone campaign starting on 3rd June running for 6-weeks until 12th July. Full training in Karuna’s unique fundraising approach will be provided. Reasonable expenses will be covered as well as a retreat allowance.

Bryan Hamilton from the LBC shares his inspiration, motivation and experience of doing a Karuna phone campaign in conversation with Nisha (who’ll be leading the campaign).

Public ordination in the Netherlands

From Triratna News on Tue, 7 May, 2013 - 12:04Announcing a new Dharmacharini in mainland Europe:

Ioana Ciontea of Gent, Belgium had her public ordination on the afternoon of 4th May at Metta Vihara retreat centre in the Netherlands. She becomes Dharmamani (long last “i”), “Jewel of the Dharma”.

Her public preceptor was Vajragita and her private preceptor was Sobhanandi.
