In the Stability of Societies seminar (unedited) in New Zealand in 1979, an Order member linked the following quotation from the Digha Nikaya to the Order Metta.  
 
‘So long as brethren shall provide themselves with (the habit of) kindly deeds, kindly words, and kindly thoughts, whether in secret or openly… they may be expected to prosper...

It is with sadness that I write to let you know that Sambhara died on Friday 24th May, at 07.30 a.m. BST. After his admission to hospital on 28th April he had been eating and drinking less and eventually was refusing both food and drink.
