Rivendell is a beautiful Triratna Retreat Centre set in the heart of Sussex dedicated to providing the conditions in which the Dharma is communicated and Sangha is created.

We would like to hear from Order Members with the experience and confidence to lead the Rivendell Team, exemplify community life, and develop the annual retreat programme.

We are looking for someone who:

• enjoys meeting the varied challenges of life at a retreat centre
• has a positive and effective Buddhist practice 
• wants to live in a small community and practice Team-Based Right Livelihood
• is friendly, open, flexible and energetic and able to work collaboratively and harmoniously

The role requires:

• leading and managing a team of staff and volunteers to ensure Rivendell continues to thrive as a place of meditation, myth and magic
• being able to respond to practical tasks around the centre 
• office administration skills
• managing food supplies, scheduling volunteer teams for cooking and housekeeping 
• ability to lead or support retreats
• developing the annual retreat programme
• being a trustee of the charity that owns and oversees Rivendell and Croydon Buddhist Centre

You’d be joining a harmonious and dedicated team of staff and volunteers, well supported by an experienced group of trustees, with additional peer support available through the European Chairs Assembly.
