Why Meditate?

Applying right speech is difficult in the beginning … but if you practice every time you talk to someone, the mind will learn how to be aware, to understand what it should or should not say, and to know when it is necessary to talk.

In a very simple sense I meditate because it helps me. Sometimes it feels mechanical but i keep going because …. coming back to the simple act of turning consciously toward kindness and staying steady changes me for the better. 


I don’t always feel like doing it but at a fundamental level, based on my own quite long experience of life I know it helps me very, very much


If you feel like getting on retreat we have a very experienced order member from the UK coming out to Sydney and he will be leading two retreats. One is from December 8- 10 and one is from Boxing Day through to NY’s. Links to both below:
