A puja in my Buddhist tradition is a ceremony that includes reflection, chanting and offerings that deepen appreciation of The Buddha and his teachings.
It moves through seven stages which include gratitude, confession and reverence.
Sometimes there are readings slotted into the puja to add colour and inspiration to an already rich tapestry of practice.
In traditional Buddhist cultures pujas are often done on the full moon and this is a tradition that some members of Jayakula, our Coogee Community in Brook Street, have decided to follow.
So on Friday June the 9th we will be performing a puja in our upstairs shrine room at 7 pm with Indian sweets and chai tea to follow
You are all warmly invited. There is no need for any experience with puja
Hope you can also come and meditate this week:

Sunday 8 - 8.50 am
Both at the Croquet Club
