Dear Coogee Meditator

If we want an experience or something new and novel from meditation we might be disappointed. If we are prepared to sit with whatever arises in meditation whether it be boredom, the urge to do something more tactile and immediately gratifying then we will begin to taste what’s on offer. And what is on offer? Space, peace, creativity and an increasingly happy relationship with yourself and others …….. cool eh!

Also, continuing with our tradition of full moon pujas you are invited to a full moon puja next week on Wednesday September 6th

What is a puja? Well our Indian community member Raj explained to us on Sunday morning that literally translated it means worship. In our seven fold puja we move through seven stages of reverence, gratitude and appreciation for The Buddha, his teachings and the support and friendship of all who aspire to put his teachings into practice. It’s a simple, easy to access ritual that engages our whole being.

If you’d like to join us come along to Jayakula Buddhist Community for shared dinner and puja

Wednesday Sept 6

BYO some vegetarian food to share at 7 pm

puja to follow at 8 pm and all done and dusted before 9 pm
