Welcome to Buddhist Action Month 2017

Connecting for Change

At the heart of Triratna is the bodhisattva ideal – the aspiration and heartfelt wish to benefit others and the commitment to act in ways that help all beings to thrive. Many of us in Triratna are engaged in this by sharing the dharma at our city based Buddhist Centres, retreat centres and practice groups as well as through our work and the way we live our lives.

Buddhist Action Month is an opportunity to reach out and engage with friends or local communities in ways that we may not be able to do for the most part of the year.  ‘BAM’ is an invitation to take part and get involved in actions that express our care and concern for our planet and our environment, and all living beings that exist on it, in a practical way.

Buddhist Action Month is a month dedicated to raising awareness, to share and discuss our concerns, hopes and ideals, and to put into action some concrete steps that help advance our vision for the future - whether within our local community or the global community!

The theme this year is Connecting for Change – more on this here [to come]
