Norwich Young Buddhists February Big Monthly Meet

Sunday 7 February  (Always the first Sunday of each month)
4.30 - 6.30 pm
Norwich Buddhist Centre

16-35? Interested in Buddhism and meditation? All welcome. No previous experience necessary. Bring your friends. You don't need to be a Buddhist to come along, and we won't try to make you one!

Our theme for the next 5 months is the Mandala of the 5 Buddhas (see below for details).

Akṣobhya, the imperturbable
We enter the mandala from the East, in the dawn time, into the realm of Akṣobhya. His name means immovable or imperturbable, and he sits on a vast blue lotus throne, supported by four massive elephants. His left hand reaches down to touch the earth in the bhūmisparśa or earth-touching mudra. He transmutes the poison of hatred with his mirror-like wisdom, which reflects reality like the still surface of a clear pool of water, Akṣobhya's element. We’ll explore Akṣobhya's qualities in February’s monthly meet, led by Jaz and Andrea.

And of course, after the meeting we'll go to the Playhouse for a social.

No charge. Donations welcome.
