Out now: new Complete Works volumes
Wisdom from a Buddhist life

We’re delighted to announce the release of the next three volumes in The Complete Works of Sangharakshita.

The first volume of the Complete Works was published in 2016. Now, seven years later, these latest volumes bring the number published so far to twenty-four. There are just three more volumes still to be published, in November 2024.

The new volumes are available in hardback, paperback and eBook editions. There are various buying options: you can take out a subscription to all 27 volumes, buy the new volumes as part of a great-value bundle, or buy them individually using the links below.

The new volumes are:

Volume 8: Beating the Dharma Drum: India Writings II

This volume contains Sangharakshita’s writings about Anagarika Dharmapala, who made it his life’s mission to restore the sacred site of Bodh Gaya; articles Sangharakshita wrote for the Maha Bodhi journal; and a collection of book reviews published in the Maha Bodhi journal and other magazines over the course of nearly fifty years.

Volume 15: Pali Canon Teachings and Translations

This volume includes Sangharakshita’s translations of several Pali texts, including the Dhammapada; and commentaries on several more: Living with Awareness, on the Satipatthana Sutta; Living with Kindness, on the Karaniya Metta Sutta; Auspicious Signs, on the Mangala Sutta; and Salutation to the Three Jewels, on the Tiratana Vandana.

Volume 17: Wisdom Teachings of the Mahayana

This volume contains The Way to Wisdom, on the five spiritual faculties; Living Ethically and Living Wisely, on Nagarjuna’s Precious Garland, and Know Your Mind, which explores a Tibetan Abhidharma text. Sangharakshita offers lessons in how to think critically about Mahayana Buddhist teachings, and how to apply them to day-to-day life.
