UK and Ireland Area Convention 2026
Wymondham, UK, 19th to 24th August 2026
The Order is a network of spiritual friendships, held together not by rules or hierarchy, but by the common act of Going for Refuge.
Coming together on Convention is an opportunity for us to gather as a spiritual community, and reconnect with the depth of our shared Going for Refuge in a way that feels right for each of us. It’s an occasion to strengthen friendships, appreciate one another’s practice, and open ourselves to collective inspiration that can nourish and sustain us.
By stepping away from our usual routines, we create space for the Dharma to reach us in new ways, and for the spirit of kalyāṇa mitratā to be refreshed. For many, Convention can offer a glimpse of the Order as a living, evolving community—one that holds the possibility of transformation, while honouring the diversity of our individual paths.
Programme
The programme is still taking shape, but you can be sure it will include opportunities for shared practice, talks, discussion, and time to explore the Dharma in ways that inspire each of us — all held in the spirit of friendship.

Fringe Activities
Alongside the main programme, there will be space for other activities to inspire and enrich us. If you’d like to share something that has deepened or clarified your practice, you’ll be able to register your activity at a later stage. Stalls and an art exhibition will also be part of the gathering — more details on art exhibitions due course.
If you wish to have a stall, please contact Dhiramati – dhiramati@hotmail.com
Set-up Volunteers
Transforming Wymondham College into a realm of the Dharma for over 450 people is no small task. A team of about 40 volunteers will arrive from 16th August to help prepare the site. Could you join them?
We need some volunteers who are fit and able to carry out physical tasks. And others who have good organisational and administration skills.
Please get in touch with Nagamani if you’d like to help out (nagamani.orderoffice@gmail.com). Board and lodging are free during the set-up period, and it is a great opportunity to work alongside fellow Order Members.
